Cape Bear Lighthouse and Marconi Station

Built in 1881, Cape Bear Lighthouse, which has been moved twice because of erosion, is located in Eastern PEI just 25 kilometres from the Wood Islands Ferry. The lighthouse received the first distress signal in Canada from the sinking Titanic. Visitors can view panoramic vistas and marine life, and exhibits about the Titanic, the lighthouse keepers and the history of the Cape Bear area. Visit the gift shop and enjoy a picnic lunch on site.
