This Homestead is where the Macphail siblings developed their intellect, strong sense of duty and ambition. Andrew Macphail (1864-1939) was knighted for his contribution to World War 1 and English literature. He was a doctor, editor, soldier, professor, and experimented with farming practices. His autobiographical book "The Master's Wife" is the story of his childhood in this house and on this very land. We host dinners, experiences, lectures, kids camps and have a tearoom. Please see our website for specific details.
